Is there a minimum quantity that needs to be ordered for Silk Screen tshirts? Yes, the minimum order for silk screen is 24 pieces in a single print size (or a single screen). The print size is how big it will show on the shirt, so if the graphic is 11" wide it will be 11" wide on all adult size shirts from Small to your largest apparel size. But 11" would be too big for a youth size shirt and so youth shirts would require an additional minimum order. The good new is that they do not all have to be tshirts or even the same color garment, you can mix and match as long as they all have the same design in the same print size.
How is the Full Color Silk Screen option printed? Full color silk screen is digitally printed using a white silk screen base with a digital print on top on a transfer. We then use a heat press to meld the transfer and the garment. If I place a reorder at a smaller quantity, will the pricing be the same as my first order? No, the pricing is based on the quantity that you are ordering at any given time. We only charge as much as we need to do for what you are ordering, we do not have "padded" costs built in for you to reorder at the lesser quantity for the same pricing. Additionally, depending on when you place the second order, the pricing on the garment or the supplies may change. We generally guarantee the pricing of an exsisting quote for 90 days.
How many colors can I use when silk screening? There is a three color maximum for silk screen printing. If you are lookging to use more colors than 3, please select the Full Color Silk Screen option.
Why is silk screen printing better than other printing methods? Screen printing is one of the oldest, if not the oldest method used for transfering images to fabrics. This means its had years to evolve and be tested. Other printing processes, are newer, so they do not offer as many options as well as long term longevity testing.
Is there an additional setup charge? There is not a screen setup charge for silk screen. There are additional fees for specialty inks and custom match pantone colors. Click here to learn more about silk screen pricing.
